About my paintings

Yes I do. However, at the moment I am not currently undertaking commission work but if you sign up for my newsletter I will send you notification when I am free for commissions. If you have any specific requests please use my contact form and I reply as soon as possible.

If you are considering a commission please take a look at my work and bear in mind what I paint, what mediums I use and the style that I paint in. Please don’t ask me to paint a 2 meter watercolour of your favourite pet. That isn’t what I do, sorry.

Please take a look at my Etsy shop for a list of available original paintings. If nothing is listed then there is currently no items for sale. Check back regularly though as I am always completing new work.

The best way is to sign up for my newsletter. Just go to the bottom of this page to sign up. I promise not to spam you. Or if you follow me on Instagram all new work is posted there too.

I primarily use oil paint but occasionally I might use other mediums along with this. The description of the work will indicate the medium used. Please be aware that due to the limitations of a computer screen, the colours in the images of the paintings shown on my site may vary slightly when viewed in real life.

My work does not come framed. My smaller paintings, 5 x 7 inch up to about 12 x 12 inch, are painted on plywood or MDF panels and can be easily framed either by yourself or by a professional framer. Any larger pieces which are painted on canvas will be shipped rolled in a mailing tube with their stretching frame but they will need to be taken to a framer for re-stretching. But as a general rule, no, my work isn’t framed.

About Shipping

I have chosen to sell via the Etsy site simply because it it easier. Etsy has a reputation for secure and safe transactions. If you buy through Etsy you can be confident that your payment details will be secure.

I can ship to most countries. Obviously the delivery time will change depending on where in the world you live. Some customs take longer to clear than others too. From experience, Australia can take a while and some US states.

Also, due to the current export situations following the UK leaving the EU, I am temporarily suspending the shipping of large work to European countries. This is because of the import duties (including VAT, customs charges and extra handling charges) incurred by the buyer which can add a substantial amount to the original purchase price. These extra fees are set by the receiving country and are out of my control and I wouldn’t want anyone to be stung by exorbitant import duties.

Once this is sorted out I will once again open up to the of shipping large work to EU countries.

This depends on the size of the item. My small art works (5″ x 7″) start at £4.00 for UK shipping. This is a tracked service and will require a signature on delivery. Worldwide shipping ranges from £14.00 upwards, depending on the size. This is a tracked service only. For tracking purposes you will be emailed a tracking number so that you can keep an eye on where your painting is. All paintings are insured as part of the shipping costs.

Please see info in the International shipping category above for further details.

All work that can be shipped flat will arrive in a protective parcel with plenty of internal packaging to prevent damage. All rolled canvases (for large work) will be mailed in a cardboard tube with the stretcher bars.

Once you place your order it will be processed within 3 – 5 business days. Once it is shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking reference. UK delivery’s take 24 – 48 hrs from the time of posting. I use royal mail and Parcel Force for shipping. Some items may require a signature on delivery. International mail can sometimes be at the mercy if outside influences but I try to select a delivery option that can get the parcel to you with in 7 – 10 business days (this is often sooner). Please remember that the  UK leaving the EU has made it much more difficult to predict how EU post is dealt with by European countries. Once the item has been posted to the buyer, I have no influence over the courier or postal service and cannot take any responsibility for their actions or late delivery.

If your painting is damaged in transit I will offer a replacement or full refund.

Please check with the courier. If they are unable to trace your painting I will offer a replacement or a full refund.
